OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA
AUGUST 16, 1988
The meeting was called to order at 5:39 p.m. in the Council Chambers,
22 Civic Center Plaza, by Vice Mayor Patricia A. McGuigan. Councilmembers
present were John Acosta, Wilson B. Hart, Ron May, Miguel A. Pulido and Vice
Mayor McGuigan. Also present were Deputy City Manager Jan Perkins, City
Attorney Edward J. Cooper and Clerk of the Council Janice C. Guy.
Councilmember Daniel E. Griset joined the meeting at 5:45 p.m. Mayor Dan
Young was absent. City Manager David N. Ream joined the meeting at
5:49 p.m.

76.A. LEASE OF REAL PROPERTY - NORTH PARTON STREET (AGENCY ITEM 2A)
Proposed lease of real property located on North Parton Street by the Santa
Aha Redevelopment Agency to Robert C. and Noreen S. Politiski to allow the
development of a surface parking lot.
Legal notice published in The Register on August 8 and 15, 1988.
The Vice Mayor opened the joint public hearing of the City Council and
Community Redevelopment Agency regarding the lease of real property by the
Agency to Robert C. and Noreen S. Politiski at 5:50 p.m.
Presentation of staff report, Redevelopment Commission recommendation, and
staff comments by: Robert Hoffman, Real Estate Manager
Presentation of written communications by the Clerk of the Council: None
There were no speakers on the matter.
The Vice Mayor closed the public hearing at 5:56 p.m.

Adopt resolution. (CONCURRENT ACTION WITH COMMUNITY
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY)
RESOLUTION NO. 88-57 - A Resolution of the City Council of the
City of Santa Aha Making Certain Findings with Respect to the
Consideration to be Received by the Community Redevelopment
Agency of the City of Santa Aha Pursuant to a Lease Agreement
Between the Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of Santa
Ana, and Robert C. Politiski and Noreen S. Politiski for the
Lease of Certain Real Property in the Central City Redevelopment
Project and Approving the Lease of Said Real Property Upon the
Terms and Conditions Contained in that Agreement.

conditions for the the sale and rehabilitation of the historic
Harmon-McNeil House, located at 817 N. Lacy Street.

The Vice Mayor opened the joint public hearing of the City Council and the
Community Redevelopment Agency regarding a proposed disposition and
development agreement for property located at 817 N. Lacy Street at 5:57
p.m.
Presentation of staff report, Redevelopment Commission recommendation, and
staff comments by: Pat Whitaker, Housing Manager
Presentation of written communications by the Clerk of the Council: None

Development Agreement Between the Community Redevelopment Agency
of the City of Santa Ana, and Adrien L. and Barbara G. Houghton,
for the Sale and Rehabilitation of Certain Real Property located
at 817 N..Lacy Street, Santa Aha, and Approving the Sale of Said
Real Property Upon the Terms and Conditions Contained in that
Agreement.

Vice Mayor McGuigan requested the City Manager investigate the feasibility
of providing an additional entry lane to the Civic Center parking lot from
Flower Street between the hours of l:O0 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. during t~e
reconstruction of the Santa Ana Boulevard parking lot entrance.
