WORK STUDY SESSION
VISIONING THE FUTURE OF THE SANTA ANA EMPOWERMENT
CORPORATION - Presented by Deborah Sanchez; the session was
facilitated by Sharon Browning.
The Empowerment Corporation Board Members received a presentation
on the Santa Ana Empowerment Zone Corporation accomplishments and
community benefits from 1999 to 2005.
Highlights of the work study session include the following:
. The board members decided to continue beyond its proposed sunset
date in 2009
. An Ad Hoc committee was formed to research increasing funding and
options if the Santa Ana Empowerment Zone loses federal designation;
Committee members include Anton, Garcia, Fraser, Fogerty, and Price.
