RECOMMENDED ACTION
Award a contract to L. N. Curtis & Sons for fire hose for a one-year period
in the annual amount not to exceed $30,000.
DISCUSSION
The Fire Department has established an ongoing replacement program for fire
hose. Fire hose is replaced at a rate of one engine load per year,
eliminating a need for mass purchases. The replaced fire hose is used on
reserve fire apparatus or stored for unexpected emergencies.
