NEAX2400 IPX switch

deteriorated
· The problematic equipment ranges from 15 years to 20 years in age
· Staff recommends upgrade of the switches at the City Yard, Parks
Administration, Train Station and Fire Administration
· Staff recommends replacement of the key systems with the outdated
switches at Fire Station #5, Santa Ana Senior Center, Memorial Center,
Jerome Center and EI Salvador Center
· Staff recommends the upgrade of the key systems at Fire Stations 1,
2,3,6,7,8,9 and 10

· The delivery of computer data to and from the 4th, ih and 8th floors of City
Hall is impeded due to existing substandard cable infrastructure
· Staff recommends the upgrade of the Cable infrastructure on City Hall
floors 4,7 and 8

hardware and cable cost is $994,000
