GUY, Clerk of the Council Absent: NONE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 3~2 NOVEMBER 18, 1~2 ADOPTION OF GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION RESULTS Motion: Adopt resolution. RESOLUTION 92-097 - A resolution of the City Council of Santa Ana declaring the results of the General Municipal Election held in said City on November 3, 1992 MOTION: McGuigan VOTE: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: None SECOND: Norton Acosta, Griset, McGuigan, Norton, Pulido, Richardson, Young None REMARKS BY OUTGOING COUNCILMEMBERS Councilmember Acosta thanked all those individuals with whom he had worked very closely during his terms on the City Council. Councilmember McGuigan delivered her legacy of guidelines for conduct in public office, bade farewell to the outgoing and incoming Councilmembers, and thanked the members of the community and City staff who had supported her during her terms on the City Council. Councilmember McGuigan received a standing ovation at the conclusion of her remarks. Councilmember Griset recounted his years on the Council and on the Planning Commission citing examples of significant City accomplishments, and thanked City staff members for their assistance. MOTION: Richardson SECOND: Moreno VOTE: AYES: NOES: Lutz, Mills, Moreno, Norton, Pulido, Richardson, Young None ABSENT: None Mayor Young declared the election of Councilmember Pulido for Mayor Pro Tem by unanimous vote. CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 354 NOV~I~IBER 18, 1992 REMARKS BY MAYOR YOUNG Mayor Young underscored the historical significance of the new Council's installation by referring to the tide of change sweeping the entire country from the White House and Congress to the state and local legislatures, and called upon all the members of the new City Council to work together as they lead Santa Ana to the 21st century.
