NEW COUNCIL ORIENTATION
City Manager David Ream called the meeting to order. Since a majority of the Council was
not present, technically a Council meeting was not held. However, an orientation session on
Santa Aha Police Department operations was conducted by Police Chief Paul Walters.

The Police Chief introduced the Department's four Police Captains, showed a video tape
demonstrating the media's representation of policing, and presented an overview of Police
operations.
The Captains briefly reviewed their respective areas of operations and conducted a guided
tour of Police facilities.
Following the tour, the Chief discussed the Department's facilities expansion program and
the federally subsidized Weed and Seed Program, and responded to questions from the
Councilmembers.
