RECOMMENDED ACTION
Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the City Manager and
Clerk of the Council to execute an agreement with the Santa Ana Unified
School District for the use of Memorial Park pool.
DISCUSSION
This school year, the Santa Ana Unified School District is renovating
Valley High School. For one year, the students have been temporarily
moved to the new Hector Godinez High School, which does not have an
aquatics facility. The School District has requested the use of Memorial
Park pool to conduct the Valley High swimming and water polo programs.
This agreement will allow for the School District to continue their
aquatics programs for the remainder of the school year. The School
District will pay the City $4,500 per month for utili ties, a $3,000
deposit, and a facility usage fee of $4.56 per hour.
FISCAL IMPACT
Revenue from this agreement will be deposited in the Recreation Facility
Rental revenue account (account no. 11-01-5805).
