HomeMy WebLinkAbout2007-024 - Relocation Plan for Residential Property Located at 1201, 1209, 1213, 1221, 1225, 1229 1/23/07 les RESOLUTION NO. 2007-024 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCil OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING THE RELOCATION PLAN FOR RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY lOCATED AT 1201, 1209, 1213,1221,1225,1229, AND 1233 EAST WilSHIRE, AND 1401, 1403, 1409, 1413, 1421, 1425, 1429, 1433, 1437, AND 1439 SOUTH MINNIE STREET BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCil OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, AS FOllOWS: Section 1: The City Council of the City of Santa Ana ("Council") hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: A. The Community Redevelopment Agency ("Agency") is assisting Wilshire/Minnie, l.P. with the acquisition and rehabilitation of real property located at 1201, 1209, 1213, 1221, 1225, 1229, and 1233 East Wilshire, and 1401,1403,1409,1413,1421,1425,1429,1433,1437, and 1439 South Minnie Street ("the Property"). B. The Property is comprised of seventeen buildings which currently have 164 one bedroom units. After the rehabilitation and reconfiguration, there will be 144 units with a mix of 1, 2, 3, and 4 bedroom sizes, with occupancy restricted to households with annual incomes at or below 60 percent of area median income. C. Pursuant to California Government Code section 7260, et seq., a public entity is required to adopt a relocation plan, by resolution, whenever it enters into an agreement for acquisition of real property or an agreement for the disposition and development of property which would lead to displacement of people from their homes. D. The relocation plan has been prepared in conformance with applicable provisions of the California Government Code section 7260, et seq., Relocation Guidelines (California Code of Regulations, Title 25), as well United States Department of Housing and Urban Development regulations. E. The relocation plan is required because of the displacement of fifty five households due to the reduction in the number of units and the income restrictions imposed by the low Income Housing Tax Credit Program. Section 2: The City Council hereby approves the relocation plan for the residential properties located at the aforementioned addresses, and the establishment of an account in accordance with state mandates for the payment of relocation benefits to the displaced households. Resolution No. 2007-024 Page 1 of 2 Section 3: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the City Council, and the Clerk of the Council shall attest to and certify the vote adopting this Resolution.
