Santa Ana Unified School District takes action after Segerstrom High School baseball put on probation
Several CIF by-laws were violated, officials said. The Jaguars must forfeit all wins and are not eligible for
playoffs. Coach and principal removed.
Lacking integrity, transparency, and accountability across all school programs
The probation is effective immediately and runs through Feb. 16, 2026.
In addition, Segerstrom, which was 12-7 overall and atop the Golden West League standings with a 5-2 record
will forfeit all of its wins this season.
"As part of the District's response to these findings we have temporarily removed Principal David Casper from
his position at Segerstrom High School and temporarily reassigned him to another role within the District.
Additionally, Head Coach Erasmo Ramirez has been removed from his coaching duties, pending further
review."

" it is a shame that our residents have to deal with this nonsense day after day."
" you're just an absentee landlord."
" They're this, that and chicken fat on First Street. It's awful," she said at Tuesday's meeting.
" I don't know why somebody didn't pull the trigger or what the fear was to pull the trigger, but the pendulum
has swung," she said.
", they're criminals, and they're doing drugs, prostitution, human trafficking, defecating, masturbating, having
sex on the street. And the list goes on."
"Given the neglect from much more than just these three properties, I think madam city attorney might be a
little more busy"
Santa Ana Police officers have been called to respond to 1,441 calls at two motels and a restaurant on East First
Street for crimes like illicit drug sales, possessing meth and disorderly conduct in the past three years.
It's an area that city council members — most of whom are in their second term — say has long been a problem
and hot bed for drugs as other cities in Orange County convert problematic motels into affordable homes.
Now after years of mounting complaints from residents, Santa Ana officials may soon crack down on what they
say are "drug dens" at the Royal Roman Motel, the Royal Grand Inn and El Tapatio Restaurant on First Street.
The moratorium in Stanton came in 2023 after over 3,000 police calls for service at seven motels in the city
since 2019 for crimes like prostitution, drugs, robbery and assaults with deadly weapons.

It is ridiculous the amount of (holiday pay) money, double overtime and overpriced resources Santa Ana Police

On a day of celebration, of culture, of rebirth
Once again, the City of Santa Ana missed the mark by allowing SAPD to run rampant and trample our rights.

On Easter Sunday, April 20 2025, the Santa Ana Police Department closed Bristol Street and Edinger Avenue
to curb car clubs and cruising events. Bristol Street had one lane in each direction closed between Warner

The closures were in effect from 3 PM on Sunday afternoon until 2 AM on Monday morning, affecting bus

The community is grateful to Supervisors Janet Nguyen and Vicente Sarmiento. They've achieved real progress! But the
bureaucracy is still trying to dilute the Strategic Plan, using a suspicious contract with a single bidder. And the county is

Orange County Supervisor Janet Nguyen headed a measure to reform OC AmmalCare by increasing hours, appointing a
community liaison to interface with the public and requiring monthly website posting of data like intakes, adoptions and
euthanasia. The items unanimously passed the Board of Supervisors on Tuesday and will take affect within four months.
Supervisor Vincent Sarmiento co-authored the measure. The upgrades bring a pre-COVID era back to the shelter when it was
more accessible and transparent to the public. Orange County was the last major municipal shelter to allow open public

Anaheim's Chamber of Commerce — an organization deeply involved in one of Orange County's largest

The closure comes roughly three years after the Chamber's former CEO Todd Ament pleaded guilty to federal

The rate, still 1 per day, is comparable to that of the pre -spike years of 2022-2023, but still higher than the pre-
Covid years of 2019-2020.
The bigger concern that I'd have is that presently, no one can say what kind of funding there will be for services
for both the already unhoused or those in danger of losing their homes.
The uncertainty of course affects everyone:
For our County's residents, we can reasonably assume that the people we encounter unhoused today will remain
so indefinitely.
For those who find themselves unhoused, they also need to understand that honestly no cavalry is coming for
the foreseeable future. This would honestly be a good time to mend relationships that need to be mended,
because there will be no help, or additional help in the foreseeable future.
Finally those who are staring at the prospect of becoming unhoused soon, please look for help now, while you
still have a roof over your head. There still may be help for you now, however no one can say what will be
available for you in the future.
And once again this is a time to improve relationships and to make alliances within families and among friends,
because we honestly don't know what is coming and there may be at least some disruptions in government
entitlement services that one had previously counted on.
In the meantime another 31 "canaries in the coal mine" died this past month on our county's streets.

Subject: The CAT KILLER
Attention: This email originated from outside of City of Santa Ana. Use caution when opening attachments or links.
I am extremely disappointed, actually FURIOUS, that Alejandro Oliveros was allowed to set bail. Police found
too many to count dead cats in his home as well as Alejandro admitting to the killing of the cats. Had they
found dead tortured people in his home would they have let him return back to the community? It is basically
the same evidence ...only it wasn't people that they found and least not yet. Based on history, the most prolific
serial killers start off in this very same manner. We have a serial killer in the making among us and that is
TERRIFYING! You MUST speak up on our behalf and represent OUR concerns. I would like to see you take
action on this by removing this killer from the public and putting him behind bars so that we and our families
and pets are safe.

"EXCLUSIVE: Santa Ana Police Department Received Forty -Two Alerts From Immigration Agents And Did
Not Tell The Community
SAPD withheld information about ICE/DHS targeting Santa Ana neighborhoods. New map tool brings
transparency to immigration agents' activity in Santa Ana. By BEN CAMACHO
"At the February 4th city council meeting, SAPD Chief Robert Rodriguez made no mention of these alerts,
despite Mayor Valerie Amezcua asking him directly about immigration enforcement actions in the city.
Amezcua did not respond to repeated requests for comment. SAPD spokesperson Natalie Garcia did not
respond to repeated requests for comment.
Councilmembers Phan, Bacerra, Hernandez and Penaloza did not respond to repeated requests for comment.
Newly released data shows that ICE/DHS notified the Santa Ana Police Department (SAPD) of their plans to be
within city limits at least forty-two times since January 20th. SAPD withheld this information from the
community until a recent public records request by Inadvertent. The data is now accessible on this map tool.
The data shows that immigration agents typically alerted SAPD between 5 A.M. and 9 A.M. It is unclear if this
means that ICE/DHS agents entered the community at those times as well.
In their response to the records request, SAPD stated that they "[do] not assist on these incidents" and that "the
information is provided to [SAPD] as a courtesy" which they use for "officer safety and situational awareness."

Subject: Urgent Community Concerns Regarding Recent Animal Cruelty Case
Attention: This email originated from outside of City of Santa Ana. Use caution when opening attachments or links.
Dear Honorable Mayor and Members of the Santa Ana City Council,
My name is Elena Walsh, and I am writing to express my deep concern over the recent arrest and
subsequent release on bail of Alejandro A Oliveros, who has been charged with felony animal cruelty
for allegedly killing and mutilating multiple cats in our community.
This case has profoundly disturbed many residents, not only due to the heinous nature of the alleged
acts but also because of the perceived inadequacy of the current legal response. The fact that
Mr.Oliveros was released on bail shortly after his arrest has left many in our community feeling
vulnerable and unheard.
Furthermore, the situation escalated when a vigil held to honor the slain cats turned violent, resulting in
the vandalism of a home mistakenly believed to be connected to Mr.Oliveros This incident
underscores the community's frustration and the urgent need for constructive action.
I respectfully urge the City Council to:
Advocate for Stronger Animal Cruelty Laws: Work with state legislators to review and
strengthen penalties for animal cruelty offenses to ensure they serve as effective deterrents.
2.
Enhance Community Education: Implement programs to educate the public about animal welfare
and the importance of reporting suspected abuse.
3.
Support Mental Health Initiatives: Recognize the link between animal cruelty and broader social
issues, and support initiatives that address underlying causes.
4.
Facilitate Community Dialogue: Create forums for residents to voice their concerns and
participate in developing solutions to prevent such incidents in the future.
Our community's safety and well-being depend on proactive and compassionate leadership. I trust
that the Council will take these concerns seriously and act to restore trust and security among Santa
Ana residents.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Elena Walsh

Subject: City Council Meeting Agenda - May 6: Alejandro Acosta Oliveros
Attention: This email originated from outside of City of Santa Ana. Use caution when opening attachments or links.
Hello,
I'd like to add a topic to the agenda please. I am very concerned about the previously arrested suspect: Alejandro
Acosta Oliveros. I am very concerned that he was released from jail with an extremely low bail amount of
$2000. I am also highly concerned that I received a reply from the DA'S office replied via email that the Santa
Ana Police Department has not prosecuted the suspect. The court has not received information regarding the
case. I would like to confirm if this is accurate and if there is or isn't a court date on May 22 for the sentencing
of Alejandro Acosta Oliveras.
I am deeply concerned that even though the suspect is out on bail, citizens have witnessed Alejandro commit
the crime he was arrested for on April 23, 2025. I am concerned for all the innocent animals he is brutally
torturing and killing and for the next obvious victims, humans. It is textbook and in repeated history, all serial
killers started off as serial cat/animal killers.
Alejandro Acosta Oliveros needs to be severely punished for his crimes as was Roy Farmer - tortured and killed
21 cats in San Jose California in 2015, was sentenced to 16 years and had a $20,000 bail that *wasn't* reduced.
Concerned Citizen,
Sonya S.
