You have requested that the Board of Administration furnish a quotation of
the approximate, as distinguished from the definite contribution to the State
Employees' Retirement System which would be required of the

because of its participation in the State Employees Retirement System. You asked
that, before making arrangements for the investigation and valuation required in
the determination of the gpprorimate contribution, you be furnished with an approxi-
mate cost of the irork. An approximate statement of the cost follows, subject to
the understanding that charges for the wor'_. will be based on the number of employees
and that the ultimate amount may vary slightly either above or below the amount here
quoted if the number of employees in any classification varies from the number

going estimates of cost, you have decided that the investigation and valuation
shall be made, the Board of Administration will furnish a contract to be executed
by you and the consulting actuary chosen by the Board, and also forms upon which
the data about your employees, necessary for the investigation and valuation, krill
be listed.
