Approve an appropriation adjustment accepting funds from California Palm
in the amount of $39,300 into the select street construction fund
(account no. 59-01-5790, project no. 08-5022-C) and appropriating the
funds into the select street construction fund (account no. 59-551-6631,
project no. 08-5022-C) for the traffic signal installation at Harbor
Boulevard and Kent Avenue.
DISCUSSION
As part of the CEQA Environmental Compliance required for the
installation of a traffic signal at Harbor Boulevard and Kent Avenue, the
developer, California Palms, is required to contribute a fair share
contribution. The developer funds received by the City will be used for
design and construction of the traffic signal. The City has already
received Hazard Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) grant funds for the
remaining cost of the traffic signal.
