Library <br />www.santa-ana.org/library <br />Item # 11 <br />City of Santa Ana <br />20 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, CA 92701 <br /> Staff Report <br />June 3, 2025 <br />TOPIC: Delhi Library Branch Security Cameras <br />AGENDA TITLE <br />Agreement with Siemens Industry, Inc. for Installation of a Security Camera System at <br />the Delhi Library Branch (General Fund) <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />Authorize the City Manager to execute an Agreement with Siemens Industry, Inc. in the <br />amount of $64,603 to provide, install, and program a security camera system at the <br />Delhi Library Branch, for a term expiring October 31, 2025 (Agreement No. A-2025- <br />XXX). <br />GOVERNMENT CODE §84308 APPLIES: Yes <br />DISCUSSION <br />Ensuring safe, equitable, and accessible facilities is an important part of providing <br />Library Services to the community. Installing security cameras at each of the Library <br />locations will help to meet this goal. For the new Delhi Library Branch, Siemens <br />Industry, Inc. (“Siemens”) will provide, install, and program six (6) IP security cameras, <br />associated hardware, cabling, server, switch, uninterruptible power supply, and wall <br />cabinet. Siemens will also provide device licenses and ensure the camera system <br />integrates into the City’s existing security platform. The cameras will be located within <br />the Library’s leased space, both inside and within the Library’s gated exterior patio. <br />Construction of the Delhi Library is anticipated to be complete in July 2025. <br />The Santa Ana Police Department currently has an agreement with Siemens for on- <br />going, City-wide video surveillance system maintenance, repair, and installation <br />services through Request for Proposal (RFP) No. 20-053. Siemens has provided <br />security camera system services to the City since 2013. <br />Santa Ana City Municipal Code Section 2-807 authorizes the City to award agreements <br />following a competitive bidding process by other public agencies meeting the City’s
