Orozco, Norma From: Edith Garcia <noreply@adv.actionnetwork.org> Sent: Wednesday, October 22, 2025 8:06 AM To: eComment Subject: Fund Ayuda Sin Fronteras: Stand With Immigrant Families Attention: This email originated from outside of City of Santa Ana.Use caution when opening attachments or links. Santa Ana City Council, Mayor Amezcua and Santa Ana City Council, I am writing to urge the City Council to continue and expand the Ayuda Sin Fronteras Program by allocating an additional $500,000 to $900,000, with at least $500,000 being allocated for the 2024-2025 fiscal year. It is imperative that the City of Santa Ana expand financial relief for residents impacted by recent U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) actions. The show of force by these agencies most recently on October 19—which resulted in the detention of Santa Ana residents on our own streets—makes this support both urgent and essential. Since its launch in July 2025, the program has proven to be a lifeline for families struggling to pay rent, utilities, and groceries. With 101 households and 198 individuals already assisted and funds exhausted after just three months, the need for expanded emergency aid remains urgent and growing. Additional funding would ensure continued support through the remainder of the fiscal year and reaffirm the City's commitment to immigrant families during this difficult time. We urge the Council to revisit the original $1 million proposal, using funds from the $74 million reserve fund, as previously recommended on the dais by members of the Council. We also recommend prioritizing households with lower income—especially those earning under $60,000 annually—to ensure equitable distribution of funds. Strengthening the Ayuda Sin Fronteras Program is a tangible step toward building a compassionate, responsive city that puts people first. I strongly urge you to vote in favor of expanding and funding this critical program. i Edith Garcia z Becerra, Alexis From: Nancy Guillen <noreply@adv.actionnetwork.org> Sent: Wednesday, October 22, 2025 8:23 AM To: eComment Subject: Fund Ayuda Sin Fronteras: Stand With Immigrant Families Attention: This email originated from outside of City of Santa Ana.Use caution when opening attachments or links. It is crucial for the City of Santa Ana to enhance financial relief for residents affected by recent actions taken by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The recent show of force by these agencies on October 19, which led to the detention of Santa Ana residents in our community, emphasizes the urgency and necessity of this support. I'm wondering if the residents of Santa Ana are allowed to burn people and what authority they have over the rest of the world as I DONT live near Santa Ana but in Santa Monica where they consider this burning a violation and distraction. I'm willing to connect governments buy a resident family and teacher at the school board has been taking part in a burning for the last thirteen years, opting to make my school want to pull me out and put me in foster care and causing a disturbance. My family the Leskowitz (previously Shoemaker)who live near an In n Out burger in Santa Ana have been taking part in what they think is a "righteous burning" hoping I get raped and beaten and pushing for me to end up a homeless child since middle school for not standing up for Annette Suzanne Leskowitz brother Lance Shoemaker and saying I'm glad I'm being abused. My mom got a restraining order but they've been saying I'm wrong in god and they are right and I've been hearing them speak about me call me a bitch and tell schools not to educate me as they want me dead so their family can die on a cross. It's disrupting my life and I can tell they are visibly presenting this knowledge. I'm uncomfortable and would like it to stop. i Becerra, Alexis From: Jackie Angel Investor < Sent: Wednesday, October 29, 2025 1:03 PM To: eComment Cc: Vazquez, Benjamin; bencamach0@proton.me Subject: FYI Upcoming: Court case to end racial injustice - Orange County November 7th Attachments: 1000008460.png -Attention: This email originated from outside of City of Santa Ana.Use caution when opening attachments or links.
