This agreement ("Contract") is entered into between the City of Santa Ana, a charter city and
municipal corporation organized and existing under the Constitution and laws of the State of
California("City"or"Program Administrator")and the Tenant(s) identified above ("Tenant"), This
Contract applies only to the Tenant family and the Subject Property identified above.
1. TERM OF THE CONTRACT
The Contract shall begin on November 28, 2025 and continue for a six L6)month term.
2. RENTAL ASSISTANCE
A. Program description. The City is providing rsnta€ assistance directly to landlords
on behalf of tenant participants in the program through funding received from the
Homeless Housing, Assistance and Prevention Grant Program for Rapid
Rehousing as facilitated through the State of California Department of Housing and
Community Development("HHAP"or "Program").
S. Rental Assistance_Payments. The Program Administrator will provide rental 1
assistance for the term stated above. The Program Administrator will make rental
assistance payments directly to the Landlord for the benefit of the Tenant(s) as
follows:
2 050.00 for Month 1 (December 2025);
1 845.00 for Month 2 (January 2026),
1,640.00 for Mon e' rua ;
1 435.00 for Month 4(March 2026); I
1 230.00 for Month 5 (April 2026);
t 026.00 for Month 8 (May 2026).

Neither the Program Administrator nor the State of California assumes any =
obligation for the Tenant's rent, or for payment of any claim by the Landlord against
the Tenant. The Program Administrator's obligation is limited to making rental
assistance payments to the Landlord on behalf of the Tenant in accordance with j
this Contract. Further,the Program Administrator's obligation is subject to a written
agreement with the State of California and HHAP funding through the State of
California.

3. PROORAM COMPLIANCE
A. ELojrAtn Obll otlons of Tenn . The Tenant remains responsible for all rent due
under their operative rental agreement with Landlord.This Contract and the rental
assistance paid by the City to the Landlord in no way extinguishes the obligation
of the Tenant to pay rent or any other monies due under the operative rental
agreement between the Tenant and Landlord. The Tenant is also responsible for I
any rent not oovered by the Rental Assistance Payment for that given month under
this Program. Each month the Rental Assistance Payment amount paid by the
City for the benefit of the Tenant is gradually reduced, and the Tenant is
responsible for paying the remaining balance of rent owed,
B. Tenant Por#Icrt of the Vent. Tenant will continue to make the following timely rent
payments directly to Landlord for the duration of the Contract (which is the
difference between the monthly rent for the :subject Property less Rental
Assistance Payments):

C. PronIn [.fmltatio§. The Program and Rental Assistance Payments are
contln en#on program compliance with the State of California, and funding from
the State of California, Should HHAP funding be withdrawn or otherwise
terminated, the City wit have no further obligation to fund this Contract or issue

f]. resentatfons of Tenant. Tenant agrees to provide accurate and honest
Information to the City and Its staff. Tenant agrees to provide the City with proof j
of Income, current rental agreement, a written release to allow the City to I
communicate with Landlord about Tenant's tenancy (If needed), and any other
Information or documents necessary to stay in compliance with the Program,or as ;
otherwise needed for compliance with any requests by the State of California In #
conjunction with HHAP funding. Tenant agrees to pay Tenants portion of the rent
on time every month and Immediately advise the City If Tenant cannot make timely
payment.
E. Tenant Vacate. If the Tenant vacates the Subject Property, for any reason, the
Tenant agrees to notify the City by telephone and In writing within twenty-four(24)
hours of Tenant vacating from the Subject Property. Failure to provide timely
notification of a vacate date during the Contract term may result In Tenant's
disqualification from future particlpation In rental assistance programs with the City.
Upon confirmation of Tenant's move-out during the term of this Contract, this i
Contract shall be automatically terminated and no further Rental Assistance
Payments will be made to Landlord,

Notice to Tenants:

Rental assistance provided through the Santa Ana HHAp Rapid Rehousing Program is limited to a
maximum of six(6)months.
