The youth of Orange County need open space and a place to learn all that golf has to offer. Maintaining an affordable venue like the Riverview Golf Course will ensure future generations have a place to play. A well-known fact is a kid by the name of Tiger Woods played there. Maybe another aspiring kid lives right around the corner. Thank you in advance for approving this item. ITEM 9 Commissions play an important role in City business. The staff report looks good and clearly identifies status of Borrds and Commissions. There are a lot of vacancies! One council member shows a vacancy in 5 out of the 11 commissions. One commissioner had two consecutive unexcused absences, but I cannot identify as to whether or not they were removed since the Roster of Current Vacancies and Expired Terms does not include all seven members of council. Respectfully, Dale A Helvig Resident, Santa Ana cc: Alvaro Nunez, Minh Thai, City Manager, Santa Ana Deputy City Manager, Santa Ana Sonia Carvalho, Sylvia Vazquez, City Attorney, Santa Ana Deputy City Manager, Santa Ana Page 1 of 1 Some text in quotes is shown in BOLD and colored red for emphasis. 2026-03-03 Letter to City Council-Item 16
