Sheldon Approved By: Date of Report:7/12/18 Date: 07/12/2018 Page 1 of 2 CASE NAME: TAYLOR, DONADONY BLAKE CLASSIFICATION: OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING (FATAL) INTERVIEW OF: ) SANTA ANA, CA 92702 PRESENT: GUS MOROYOQUI, DETECTIVE, #2727 SANTA ANA POLICE DEPARTMENT DATE AND TIME: 7/2/18 0405 HOURS LOCATION: SANTA ANA POLICE DEPARTMENT On Monday, July 2, 2018, at approximately 0405 hours, Santa Ana Police Department (SAPD) Detective GUS MOROYOQUI and I conducted a digital audio recorded interview of regarding the SAPD officer involved shooting of DONADONY BLAKE TAYLOR. The interview took place at SAPD in interview room #3, room number 3140. The following is a summary of the interview with and is not verbatim or necessarily in order of the conversation, but organized for the purpose of clarity. Refer to the digital audio recording for exact quotes, comments and statements. On Sunday, July 1, 2018, at approximately 1142 hours, was on the third floor of the parking structure, located at 1020 WEST CIVIC CENTER DRIVE in SANTA ANA. He was in the parking structure with a female friend named , later identified as , , and the two were there charging their cell phones. The two were sitting on the third floor near the southwest corner of the parking structure. heard 2-3 gun shots ORANGE COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY’S OFFICE BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION INTERVIEW REPORT SA 18-021 Investigator: B. He believed the gun shorts had come from the floor below him as the shots sounded very close. After the gun shots, he and remained on the third floor. They were contacted by SAPD officers and eventually taken to SAPD to be interviewed. had ridden their bikes to the parking structure and used the elevator, located in the northeast corner of the parking structure, to go to the third floor. Along the way he did not see anyone else in the structure and did not recall hearing anything out of the ordinary other than some children yelling and fireworks. The interview was concluded at 0414 hours.
