Kendrick #257 Approved By: <br />Date of Report: 07-10-18 Date: 07/11/2018 <br />Page 1 of 9 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />CASE NAME: TAYLOR, DONADONY, BLAKE <br />CLASSIFICATION: OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING (FATAL) <br />TYPE: INITIAL RESPONSE/ SCENE <br />AGENCY: SANTA ANA POLICE DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />On Monday, July 2, 2018 , at approximately 0012 hours, Orange County District Attorney <br />(OCDA) Supervising Investigator STAN BERRY contacted me regarding an officer involved <br />shooting involving the Santa Ana Police Department (SAPD). BERRY requested that I respond to <br />the parking structure located at 1020 West Civic Center Drive, in the city of Santa Ana, to assist <br />with the investigation. <br />At approximately 0120 hours, I arrived at the incident location and met with investigators <br />from the OCDA and the SAPD, who were also present to assist in the investigation. <br />At approximately 0206 hours, SAPD Sergeant ABEL OROPEZA, #2499, conducted a briefing <br />of the known circumstances surrounding the incident for the investigators involved.
