TANNER #252 Approved By: <br />Date of Report: 03/17/2015 Date: 03/18/2015 <br />Page 1 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />CASE NAME: OSORIO, BENITO <br />CLASSIFICATION: OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING (FATAL) <br />TYPE: AUTOPSY <br />AGENCY: SANTA ANA POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />On Friday, March 13, 2015, at approximately 0905 hours, I attended the post mortem <br />examination of BENITO OSORIO, at the Orange County Sheriff-Coroner Office, located at 1071 <br />West Santa Ana Boulevard, in the city of Santa Ana. Prior to the autopsy, I met with all involved <br />personnel to discuss the circumstances surrounding OSORIO’s death. The following people <br />attended the meeting and autopsy: <br />• ETOI DAVENPOT Forensic Pathologist <br />• JENNIFER JARRETT Orange County Crime Lab Forensic Scientist <br />• JEANNIE TRAN Orange County Crime Lab Forensic Specialist <br />• ED ZARAGOZA Detective, Santa Ana Police Department <br />Following the meeting, the autopsy was conducted by Forensic Pathologist ETOI <br />DAVENPORT. Orange County Crime Lab (OCCL) Forensic Scientist JENNIFER JARRETT collected <br />physical evidence while OCCL Forensic Specialist JEANNIE TRAN took digital photographs of the <br />autopsy. The evidence and photos were documented under FR# 15-43742. <br />Prior to the autopsy, I observed a white body bag which was sealed with a Coroner’s <br />identification tag. At approximately 0905 hours, OSORIO’s body was removed from the bag and <br />I observed the following on the body: <br />• Orange County Coroner Identification tag on left big toe <br />ORANGE COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY’S OFFICE <br />BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION <br />SUPPLEMENTAL REPORT
