HomeMy WebLinkAboutInitial Response - Fulcher _Redacted S.A. 15-005 Investigator: DEAN FULCHER Approved By: Date of Report: 03/12/15 Date: 03/12/2015 Page 1 of 2 CASE NAME: OSORIO, BENITO CLASSIFICATION: OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING (FATAL) TYPE: INITIAL RESPONSE AGENCY: SANTA ANA POLICE DEPARTMENT On Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at approximately 1315 hours, Orange County District Attorney (OCDA) Supervising Investigator MARK GUTIERREZ contacted me regarding an officer involved shooting incident involving the Santa Ana Police Department (SAPD). GUTIERREZ requested I respond to 200 South Main Street, in the city of Santa Ana, and assist with the investigation. At 1415 hours, I arrived at the incident location and met with investigators from the OCDA and from the SAPD, who were present to assist in the investigation. At 1513 hours, SAPD Sergeant JEFF SMITH conducted a briefing of the known circumstances surrounding the incident for the personnel involved in the investigation. Following the briefing, GUTIERREZ requested SAPD Detective MATT MCLEOD and I interview potential witnesses to the shooting incident.
