On the listed date and time, Detective MATHEW MCCLEOD and I conducted an audio
digitally recorded interview of in reference to the Santa Ana Police Department
(SAPD) officer involved shooting investigation of BENITO OSORIO. The following is a summary of
the interview, which was conducted in Spanish by MCCLEOD:
is an employee of the Mill Bakery, located at 312 South Main Street in Santa Ana.
was employed at the bakery and was working on Wednesday, March 11, 2015.
was working in the back of the bakery when a fellow employee, , came back and
told him that the police were out front. went to the front of the business and locked the
front entrance/exit doors.
was able to see an individual in a white pickup truck stopped on the street in
front of the business. The subject eventually exited the vehicle with a handgun and turned toward
the officers with the gun pointed down. then heard several gunshots. For details
