Factual Synopsis:
On Friday, April 8, 2023 at approximately 1841 hours, officers from the Santa Ana Police Department conducted a car stop. An
officer involved shooting occurred and an occupant of the vehicle was last seen running north bound on Rosewood.
Approximately one minute later a shooting occurred when unknown suspects shot at subject. Subject was detained by officers
and provided medical aid. The subject was transported to OC Global Medical Center with non-life threatening wounds.

Narrative:
On Friday, April 8, 2023 at approximately 1841 hours, officers from the Santa Ana Police Department conducted a
car stop. Subject MARVIN RICARDO MELGAREJO exited the vehicle and an officer involved shooting occurred.
MELGAREJO was last seen running north bound on Rosewood. Approximately one minute later a shooting
occurred when unknown suspects shot at MELGAREJO. MELGAREJO was detained by officers and was provided
medical aid. MELGAREJO was transported to OC Global Medical Center with non-life threatening wounds.
