On 04/07/2023 at approximately 2245 hours, I responded to to assist Forensic Specialist I (FSI)
Vazquez #3817 for a Crime Scene Investigation on an assault with a deadly weapon incident for the Santa Ana Police

an Officer-Involved Shooting (OIS) (SAPD CI#2023-07962) and Sergeant Barragan #2937 requested the scene be
processed by the SAPD Forensics Unit (not the Orange County Crime Lab who was processing the OIS crime
VFHQH
I then scanned the scene with the LEICA RTC 360 Scanner. Seven scans were captured on Job #13. On 04/09/2023
at approximately 0309 hours, the raw data was transferred from the LEICA RTC 360 Scanner USB flash drive to a
department-issued USB flash drive. The department-issued USB flash drive was booked into an SAPD evidence
locker.
A crime scene sketch was created; see attached. I then assisted FSI Vazquez in evidence collection, but all evidence

It should be noted that during the investigation, my department-issued Axon 3 body-worn camera was activated and
recorded certain points of my investigation; it was later uploaded to the SAPD database. For further details, refer to
