Wednesday, April 12, 2023, 0830 hours:
Santa Ana Police Department Homicide Detective J. Capacete authored a search warrant to search a 2003 GMC
Yukon 4 door black in color with California Lic: . The vehicle was involved in an Officer Involved Shooting
on Friday, April 7, 2023. The vehicle was impounded and secured at B&D Towing. The Search Warrant was granted
and signed by Michael Murray the Honorable Judge of the Superior Court of California, County of Orange, Central
Justice Center, Department C-57.
Thursday, April 13, 2023, 0905 hours:
On the above date and time, Santa Ana Police Department Crime Scene Officer G. Garcia #3251 and I went to B&D
Towing located at 1502 N. Susan Street in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange.
0925 hours:
We arrived at B&D Towing and made contact with Sergio Davalos DOB: 01/09/79, who opened the bay where the
vehicle was secured.
0940 hours:
Forensic Specialist G. Garcia began the processing of the vehicle. Before we entered the vehicle, Garcia took overall
pictures of the exterior of the vehicle.
0945 hours:
Forensic Specialist G. Garcia broke the first seal and photographed the interior of the vehicle.
0950 hours:
Forensic Specialist G. Garcia swabbed the steering wheel, and the gear shifter.
0952 hours:
Forensic Specialist G. Garcia swabbed the front passenger door handle. It should be noted the right rear door was
unable to be opened.
1010 hours:
Forensic Specialist G. Garcia collected latent fingerprints from the rear view mirror.
1012 hours:
Forensic Specialist G. Garcia collected swabs from a 12oz Modelo Beer can and attempted to collect latent prints

Forensic Specialist G. Garcia located and collected a gray Samsung cell that was located on top of the center
console.
1030 hours:
At this time, Forensic Specialist G. Garcia and I concluded the search of the vehicle. We booth returned to Santa Ana
Police Department. For further details, refer to Forensic Specialist G. Garcia supplemental report under the same
case number.
