On April 7, 2023, at approximately 1841 hours, I heard the radio code 998, which stands for officer involved shooting,
at S. Rosewood Ave and W. Bishop St. I responded to the scene, from the intersection of N. Sullivan St and W. 1st
St. When I arrived on scene, I took a perimeter post at the intersection of S. Rosewood St and W. Richland Ave. I
put up crime scene tape at the intersection of S. Rosewood St and W. Richland Ave
While I was on scene, I was contacted by a Spanish speaking citizen, whom I identified verbally as .
Another citizen, whom I identified verbally as , assisted me in translating my interview with
from Spanish to English. It should be noted that stated she is a fluent Spanish speaker who has been
speaking Spanish her entire life.
