Becerra, Alexis
From: Timothy Rush <
Sent: Wednesday, April 29, 2026 4:47 PM
To: eComment
Subject: Proposed City Ballot measure to extend Measure X
Attention:This email originated from outside of City of Santa Ana. Use caution when opening attachments or links.
TO: MAYOR, COUNCILMEMBERS, CITY MANAGER, CITY ATTORNEY
ALL:
At our regular meeting last month a vote was taken about the above proposal that is making ifs way around City Hall.
Our group was unanimous in its opposition to any such proposal to extend Measure X, or in any way offer more sales
taxes to be foisted upon our citizens and the business community. This is an opportunity for Santa Ana to begin to
become more competitive as a retail destination. It is time that some fiscal constraint be exercised and for the city to
live within its means. We believe that if our retail business' are more competitive hopefully we will be rewarded with
greater sales tax revenue
In any case measure,X needs to sunset as a it was originally intended. We hope that you will carefully consider our
deliberations and our encouragement to the council.
Sincerely,
Tim Rush
Chairman and founder
G-7 Neighborhood Leaders Alliance
Sent from my iPhone
i
