LOCATION: TELEPHONIC INTERVIEW
On the above date and time, I conducted a telephonic audio digital recorded interview of
in reference to the officer involved shooting incident involving
MARCELINO ALMANZA. The following is a summary of the interview.
On Sunday, September 09, 2012, at approximately 2320 hours, was inside his
living room watching television and heard a loud heated conversation including a male voice
saying no, no, then heard (2) gunshots. Less than a minute later he heard 2‐3 more gunshots
then it went silent. got up off the couch and called 911 immediately. said the
officers started to arrive on the scene as he was still on the phone to 911.
ran upstairs to the guest bedroom where his mother‐in‐law is staying in order to
check on her. looked out the guest room west facing window which overlooks the south
alley of 3005 South Bristol Street. estimated he looked out the window approximately 2‐

3 minutes after he heard the gunshots. He observed a male, possibly Hispanic, dark skin, wearing
cache pants and possibly a white tank top tee shirt, lying on the ground on his belly in front of a
white vehicle.
Several police officers had arrived on scene and some of the police officers rolled the
subject over onto his back and started chest compressions. did not observe the subject
moving during that time.
Eventually SAPD Patrol Officer GARCIA arrived at residence and took his
statement.
