On Sunday, June 23, 2013, at approximately 1507 hours, Santa Ana Police Department
(SAPD) Detective FRANK GOMEZ and I conducted a digital audio recorded interview of a death
notification at 824 South Ross Street, city of Santa Ana. We attempted to contact JESSICA
GONZALEZ’S, mother .
I knocked on the front door and a female Hispanic answered. She identified herself as
, and she was the niece of JESSICA. refused to provide further
identification. During the conversation with a male white subject, later identified as
, appeared from the
backyard. was JESSICA’S nephew. advised us that was in Los
Angeles and she did not know when she would return. refused to provide further
details of whereabouts. advised us the following regarding her last
contact with JESSICA:
On Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at approximately 2000 hours, JESSICA went to
, and told family members she loved them and “bye.” JESSICA left the residence and
she was never seen again. JESSICA never made any statements regarding killing anyone or
having a gun. VASQUEZ and never observed JESSICA with a gun.

I advised and that JESSICA died during an incident with police. I gave
my business card. immediately closed the front door, and walked
toward the backyard.
At approximately 1512 hours, we cleared the location.
