EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH PRESENTATION – December 2007 and January 2008
Richard Alvarado was present to accept this award for December 2007.
Patrick Mitchell was present to accept this award for January 2008.
SPECIAL SERVICE TO THE COMMUNTIY PRESENTATION – November 2007
Steve McGuigan was present to accept this award.

COMMENTS
PUBLIC COMMENTS
Steve McGuigan,
Invited all commissioners to the annual Santa Ana Zoo Holiday Lights Festival on December
21, 22, 28 and 29. All Santa Ana Residents and City Employees will receive free admission
on December 21, and all Grandparents will be admitted for free on December 28.
STAFF/CONSULTANT COMMENTS
J. Straka
Presented the Agency with a Recycle receptacle.
L. McCarty
The Children’s Winter Holiday Party at the Santa Ana Zoo was a great success! Over 4,000
children attended and received gifts and it was a beautiful day.
M. Lopez
Thank you to the Graffiti Task Force who assisted with sorting of the donated toys for the
Children’s Winter Holiday Party.

The Toy Drive kickoff on December 1st brought in 1,000 toys, we still need more! You can
still donate toys at any fire station, any CVS, or wherever you see a Toys for Tots toy box.
There will be a toy distribution at the Phoenix House on December 22.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone.
The Youth Commission met and had their holiday potluck on December 11. The draft of the
Pride Unleashed publication was reviewed and discussed at that time.
T. Leon
There will be a Holiday Party on December 21 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for the seniors
at the Santa Ana Senior Center and Steve McGuigan will be performing. Please come if
you can.
