Menu <br />Woman killed by police in Santa Ana had replica gun <br />Ashley Bailey | June 24th, 2013, 1:51pm <br />A woman killed by police on Sunday had a replica gun and was considered a suspect in a homicide in Orange last week, police said. <br />A woman shot and killed by police in Santa Ana on Sunday was carrying a replica of a gun, authorities said. <br />Santa Ana police confirmed in a news release that the woman, identified as 35-year-old Jessica Gonzalez, was a suspect wanted <br />in connection with a recent homicide being investigated by police in Orange. <br />The incident occurred around 9 a.m. Sunday when two officers were on patrol in the area of 800 S. Townsend. The officers <br />encountered Gonzalez in an alley, and there was "some type of altercation which led to an officer involved shooting. She was <br />struck, transported to UCI Medical Center, where she died. There was a gun located at the scene.
