ARELLANO would not move his bicycle out of the way and exited his car and
approached ARELLANO in an effort to tell him to move. ARELLANO then reached into his
pocket as if he was reaching for a gun. got back into his car and again tried to back out
of the drive thru again. As was backing out, his car hit ARELLANO and ARELLANO fell off
his bicycle. was able to drive away without further incident. did not report the
incident to the police. described ARELLANO as a male Hispanic, with short hair, and
“tattoos” on his knuckles.
never had contact with ARELLANO prior to the incident. Shortly, after the
shooting incident involving ARELLANO, was watching a local news channel broadcast
while he was admitted to the Veteran’s Hospital in Long Beach. recognized that the
subject who confronted him in the McDonalds Restaurant drive thru was the same subject who
was shot by the SAPD at Jugo’s La Tropicana juice bar.
