S.A. 13-017 <br />Investigator: LITCHENBERG Approved By: <br />Date of Report: 08/12/13 Date: 10/03/2013 <br />Page 1 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />CASE NAME: ARELLANO, HANS KEVIN <br />CLASSIFICATION: OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING (FATAL) <br />TYPE: INITIAL RESPONSE <br />AGENCY: SANTA ANA POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />On Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at approximately 1600 hours, Orange County District Attorney <br />(OCDA) Supervising Investigator MARK GUTIERREZ contacted me regarding an officer involved shooting <br />incident involving the Santa Ana Police Department (SAPD). GUTIERREZ requested I respond to the area <br />of 622 South Harbor Boulevard, in the city of Santa Ana and assist with the investigation. <br />At 1615 hours, I arrived at the incident location and met with personnel from the OCDA and <br />SAPD who were present to assist with the investigation. <br />At 1631 hours, SAPD Acting Sergeant OLIVER GRANT conducted a briefing of the known <br />circumstances surrounding the incident for personnel involved with the investigation. <br />Following the briefing, GUTIERREZ directed me to team with SAPD Detective JULIAN RODRIGUEZ <br />and conduct witness interviews. RODRIGUEZ and I conducted an audio digitally recorded interview of: <br />• <br />At approximately 1800 hours, I responded to the Santa Ana Police Department and witnessed <br />Orange County Crime Lab Forensic Specialists LINDSEY OLSON and AIDE SAHAGUN process SAPD Officers <br />JESSICA GUIDRY and STEPHEN CHAVEZ under FR# 13-50719. <br />Santa Ana Police Officer JESSICA GUIDRY <br />Officer GUIDRY’s uniform and equipment were photographed. GUIDRY was dressed in full <br />police uniform with a complete Sam Browne duty belt.
