These upgrades will ensure ongoing <br /> system stability and are necessary for the safe and reliable operation of facility access <br /> controls. <br /> Due to the jail security control system's age, components are not readily available. <br /> Emerson is the only manufacturer of components compatible with the existing system. <br /> CB Pacific, Inc. is the only authorized distributor for Emerson Machine Automation <br /> Solutions products in the State of California. <br /> Santa Ana Municipal Code, Section 2-807(a, e), authorizes the City to make non-bid <br /> purchases of services, supplies, materials, and equipment whenever it shall appear that <br /> there is only one reasonably available source. Staff researched available procurement <br /> options and product offerings in the market and it was determined that Emerson <br /> Machine Automation Solutions equipment meets the City's specifications. <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br /> There is no environmental impact associated with this action. <br />
