(Requires five affirmative <br /> votes) <br /> UNCODIFIED ORDINANCE NO. NS-3096 entitled AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY <br /> COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROPRIATING MONIES TO SEVERAL <br /> OFFICES, AGENCIES, AND DEPARTMENTS OF THE CITY FOR FISCAL YEAR <br /> BUDGET PERIOD COMMENCING JULY 1, 2026 <br /> GOVERNMENT CODE §84308 APPLIES: No <br /> DISCUSSION <br /> Pursuant to Sections 604 and 605 of Santa Ana's City Charter, the City Manager worked <br /> with staff to prepare and present a proposed budget to the City Council for the fiscal year <br /> beginning July 1, 2026. <br /> Consistent with Section 606 of the City's Charter, the City Council conducted a public <br /> hearing on the proposed budget on June 2, 2026 and unanimously approved the <br /> ordinance and proposed budget as presented by staff with no changes. According to the <br /> Santa Ana Charter Section 607, the City Council is required to adopt the annual budget <br /> by July 31. <br />
