Hickory Street in the City of Santa Ana. This was in reference to a assist for the Orange County Fire Authority on a medical related call for service. Officer G. Roelofs and Officer R. Bell arrived on scene prior to my arrival and notified police dispatch there were multiple subjects fighting in the front yard of the residence and also inside of the residence. Officer G. I arrived, and walked towards the front of the residence, where I observed multiple subjects standing in the front yard, yelling and screaming. I then observed Officer G. Roelofs standing in the doorway to the front of the residence, and observed several subjects begin to push Officer G. Roelofs. I observed a male wearing a burgundy shirt, later identified as Candido Ocampo, begin to physically assault Officer G. Roelofs in the doorway, by pushing Officer G. Roelofs with his hands. Fearing Officer G. Roelofs was going to be physically hurt by the altercation, I ran over to Ocampo, and grabbed him by his right arm, and threw him towards the ground. Ocampo eventually fell to the ground, DQG ZDONHG DZD\ IURP 2IILFHUV I continued to make my way towards Officer G. Roelofs, where I observed a second subject, wearing a blue and gray shirt, later identified as Hugo Cervantes, physically assault Officer G. Roelofs by pushing him with his hands. I then observed Officer G. Roelofs push Cervantes away from his person, and I grabbed Cervantes by his left arm. I gave Cervantes multiple verbal commands to lay on ground, which he refused to do, and I placed my right leg in front Cervantes' left leg, and guided Cervantes towards the ground. Cervantes landed on his back and I controlled his right arm with both of my hands. Cervantes continued to disobey commands to roll over onto his stomach, and I eventually rolled Cervantes on his stomach by pulling Cervantes over to his side.
