RECOMMENDATION:
Approve the minutes of the regular meeting of June 8, 2009.
B. RECORDING SECRETARY REPORT
Pursuant to the Brown Act, the June 22, 2009 Cancellation Notice for the Regular
Meeting was posted on the door of the City Hall Council Chambers at 22 Civic
Center Plaza on June 17, 2009 at 8:19 a.m.
Pursuant to the Brown Act, the June 8, 2009 Notice for the Regular Meeting was
posted on the door of the City Hall Council Chambers at 22 Civic Center Plaza
on June 4, 2009 at 4:02 p.m.
RECOMMENDATION:
Instruct the Commission Secretary to enter posting into the minutes.

C. MINOR EXCEPTION NO. 2009-03 (Alejandro Flores)
Filed by Antonio Alvarez, to allow a reduction in the required off-street parking
requirement in order to expand the Cancun Juice restaurant at 2302 South
Bristol Street, Unit D, located in the General Commercial (C2) zoning district.
RECOMMENDATION:
Confirm the Zoning Administrator's action approving Minor Exception No.
2009-03 as conditioned.
D. CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 2009-14 (Matt Foulkes)
Filed by John Chu, to allow a Type 41 ABC license (on-premise sale of beer and
wine) at the Shabu Shabu restaurant at 1945 East Seventeenth Street, Unit 108,
located in the Arterial Commercial (C5) zoning district.
RECOMMENDATION:
Confirm the Zoning Administrator's action approving Conditional Use Permit No.
2009-14 as conditioned.
