HomeMy WebLinkAbout2007-32• RESOLUTION NO. 2007-32 bk: 8/23/07 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING NEIGHBORHOOD PROJECT REVIEW NO. 2007-14 TO PERMIT THE REHABILITATION OF THE FRONT PORCH AT 810 NORTH FRENCH STREET. LOCATED IN SPECIFIC DEVELOPMENT 19 ZONE (SD-19) (FRENCH PARK) BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: A. The property owner is requesting approval of Neighborhood Project Review No. 2007-14 to permit the rehabilitation of the front porch at 810 North French Street. located in Specific Development 19 Zone (SD-19) (French Park) • B. The applicant is proposing the repair of one-inch by four-inch clapboard siding for the porch railings, which has been damaged by termite and moisture, and rehabilitation of the front porch. The ornate porch trim associated with the porch railing and columns are proposed to be repaired and remain in place. C. The French Park Architectural Review Committee reviewed and commented on the project and has found that the repairs are consistent with the historic character of the neighborhood. D. Santa Ana Municipal Code Section 41-593.5(c) requires the Planning Commission to review all plans within a Specific Development Plan area to ensure that the project is in conformity with the approved Specific Development. E. On August 27, 2007, the Planning Commission conducted the necessary review pursuant to Santa Ana Municipal Code Section 41-593.5(c). F. After considering all of the evidence submitted, the Planning Commission finds and determines that Neighborhood Project Review No. 2007-14 is consistent with both the French Park Design Guidelines and the Citywide Design Guidelines in regards to • architectural style and method of operation. Resolution No. 2007-32 Page 1 of 3 G. This project was reviewed in accordance with the Guidelines for the California Environmental Quality Act. The recommendation is exempt from further review pursuant to Section 15270. This exemption applies to projects which a public agency disapproves. Statutory Exemption Environmental Review No. 2007-127 will be filed for this project. Section 2. The Planning Commission hereby approves Neighborhood Project Review No. 2007-14. This decision is based upon, but is not limited to: the Request for Planning Commission Action dated August 27, 2007 and exhibits attached thereto, and the public testimony, all of which are incorporated herein by this reference.
