A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING SITE PLAN
REVIEW NO. 2006-03 AS CONDITIONED FOR THE
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1718 WEST SIXTH STREET
WHICH IS WITHIN SPECIFIC DEVELOPMENT NO. 61 (SD-
61)

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds,
determines and declares as follows:
A. The Applicant is requesting site plan approval to allow the installation of a
new parking lot at the existing St. Francis Home at 1718 West Sixth Street
which is located within Specific Development No. 61 (SD-61).
B. Section 41-593.5(c) of the Santa Ana Municipal Code requires a review by
the Planning Commission of all plans within a specific development plan
• area to ensure the project is in conformity with the Specific Plan.
C. Site Plan Review No. 2006-03 came before the Planning Commission of
the City of Santa Ana on July 10, 2006.
D. The project is in compliance with all applicable development standards
outlined within the Specific Development Plan (SD-61).
E. This project was reviewed in accordance with the Guidelines for the
California Environmental Quality Act. The recommendation is exempt
from further review pursuant to Section 15332. This Class 32 exemption
allows the permitting of in-fill development projects. Categorical
Exemption Environmental Review No. 2005-156 will be filed for this
project.
Section 2. The Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana hereby
approves Site Pian Review No. 2006-03 conditioned in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
incorporated herein. This decision is based upon the evidence submitted at the
abovesaid hearing, which includes but is not limited to: the Request for Planning
Commission Action dated July 10, 2006 and exhibits attached thereto; and the public
testimony, all of which are incorporated herein by this reference.

Site Plan Review No. 2006-03 is approved subject to compliance, to the
reasonable satisfaction of the Planning Commission, with all applicable sections of
the Santa Ana Municipal Code, the California Administrative Code, the Uniform
Fire Code, the Uniform Building Code and all other applicable regulations.
The applicant must comply in full with each and every condition listed below prior
to exercising the rights conferred by this site plan review.
The applicant must remain in compliance with all conditions listed below
throughout the life of the site plan review. Failure to comply with each and every
condition may result in the revocation of the site plan review.
A. Ptanning Division
1. The project shall remain in compliance with Development Project
No. 2005-63.
2. Any amendment to this site plan must be submitted to the Planning
Division for review. At that time, staff will determine if
administrative relief is available or the SD61 must be amended.

3. After project occupancy, landscaping is to be maintained to include
the minimum level of plant materials installed at the time of
occupancy.
B. Police Department
New parking lot lighting must conform to the provisions of Chapter 8,
Article Il, Division 3 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code (Building
Security Ordinance). These code conditions will require that the
existing project's lighting be upgraded to current code standards.
Lighting standards cannot be located in required landscape planters.
