RECOMMENDATION:
Approve the minutes of the regular meeting of September 15~ 1999.

3. Historic Resources Commission Objectives for 1999-2000
The Commission and staff discussed, developed, and priori[' ed the objectives for the 1999-
2000 year.
4. Comments from the Historic Resources Commission. ',
Commissioner Chamberlain provided a brief overview o

In addition, she provided an update of a meeting attended rggarding the One Broadway project
and informed the Commission of the proposed Zov's restaurant in Downtown. She further
informed staff and the Commission that she had spoken tq the historian for One Broadway
Plaza and learned that Cal State Northridge had Sanford ~' ps for the City of Santa Ana that
provided a great deal of detail and history on structures throughout the City and requested staff
investigate whether such maps are more readily available.
Commissioner Brenes apologized to the Commission far hi absence at the previous meeting.
In addition, he informed the Commission that he would poss~bly miss some upcoming meetings
' due to accepting a teaching position at a local institution.

8. Excuse of absence.
Commissioner Brenes motioned to excuse the absences of ommissioners Berry, Simons, and
Gartner. The motion was seconded and unanimously passed;
