RESOLUTION NO, 2002-01
A RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE
HOMEOWNERSHIP OPTION UNDER THE HOUSING CHOICE
VOUCHER PROGRAM AND APPROVING CHANGES TO THE
ADMINISTRATIVE PLAN
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SANTA
ANA AS FOllOWS:
Section 1, The Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds,
determines and declares as follows:
A, The U,S, Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD") requires
housing authorities that administer a Section 8 Rental Assistance program to
have an Administrative Plan, The purpose of the Administrative Plan is to
describe the Authority's policies and procedures,
B, The Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana adopted the Administrative
Plan as required by HUD on April 3, 2000,
C. HUD now allows housing authorities that administer a Section 8 program to
implement a homeownership option, The homeownership option is used to
assist a family residing in a home purchased and owned by one or more
members of the family,
D, The Housing Authority recommends adding a homeownership option under
its housing choice voucher program and making changes to the
administrative plan for the implementation of the homeownership option,
Section 2, The Housing Authority hereby authorizes the establishment of a
homeownership option under the housing choice voucher program and making
changes to the administrative plan for the implementation of the homeownership
option.
Section 3, The Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana hereby authorizes
and empowers the Executive Director of the Housing Authority or his designee to
execute in the name of the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana all

necessary applications, contracts, agreements, amendments and payments
needed for the establishment and maintenance of the homeownership option,
Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by
the Housing Authority, and the Secretary shall attest to and certify the vote
adopting this Resolution.
