MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
BETWEEN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
AND THE SANTA ANA WORK CENTER/WORKFORCE INVESTMENT BOARD
This Memorandum of Understanding, dated October ?, 201 1, between the City of Santa Ana
(hereinafter "City"), and the Santa Ana Work Center /Workforce Investment Board (hereinafter
"WORK Center").
RECITALS
1. The WORK Center desires to continue to lease space at the Santa Ana Regional
Transportation Center ("SARTC"), to provide its programs and services to the public.
2. The parties desire to set forth their agreement regarding the WORK Center's lease of
space at the SARTC.
TERM:
The Term of this Agreement will commence July 1, 2010 and continue through June 30, 2012.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
1. City shall allow WORK Center to occupy Suites 200 and 220 (7419 sq. ft.) within the
Santa Ana Regional Transportation Center (SARTC), located at 1000 East Santa Ana
Boulevard, Santa Ana, CA 92701.
2. City shall provide janitorial service and all utilities, except telephones and security
equipment .
Payment.
a. The monthly user fee for the term from July 1, 2010 through June 30, 201 1, is
$14,425.36. The rate has been adjusted to incorporate the 1.8% CPI increase applied
to all SARTC tenants for FY 2010/11. WORK Center has during this term, paid a
monthly user fee of $14,170.29. The parties agree that WORK Center will within
thirty days of execution of this MOU, reimburse City for unpaid FY 10/1 1 user fees
in the amount of $3,060.84 ($14,425.36 - $14,170.29 = $255.07/month x 12).
b. The monthly user fee for the term from July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012, is
$14,612.89. The rate has been adjusted to incorporate the 1.3% CPI increase applied
to all SARTC tenants for FY 2011/12. WORK Center has through the
commencement of this MOU paid a monthly user fee of $14,170.29. The parties
agree that WORK Center will within thirty days of execution of this MOU, reimburse
City for unpaid FY 11/12 user fees in the amount of $442.60/month ($14,612.89 -
$14,170.29 = $442.60) for each month of FY 1 1 /12 the initial user fee has been paid.
c. The user fee is due the first day of each month, payable to "The City of Santa Ana."
