RECOMMENDED ACTION
Receive and file the Ouarterly Report of Contracts entered into between January 1, 2012 and
March 31, 2012, valued at $25,000 and less.
DISCUSSION
On October 6, 2008, the Housing Authority increased the Executive Director's authority to execute
agreements from an amount not to exceed $10,000 to $25,000. Agreements valued at greater than
$25,000 require approval by the Board of Directors. This is the same authority granted to the City
Manager by the voters through a Charter Amendment in November of 2006. The authority granted
to the Executive Director required the submission of a quarterly report (Exhibit 1) to the Housing
Authority at a public meeting on all such agreements. The report is required to include the names
of contractors and the amounts of each contract.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no fiscal impact associated with this action.
