RESIDENTIAL RELOCATION NO. 2012-01 AND MINOR EXCEPTION NO. 2012-01 Filed by Saul Delgado, representing Midoros LLC, to allow the relocation of a residence from 1605 West Fifth Street to 1920 West Fourth Street and construct a new two -car garage and second dwelling unit at 1920 West Fourth Street. A minor exception is also requested to allow a reduction in the rear yard setback in order to allow the second dwelling unit to be attached to the garage and be located within 10 Planning Commission Minutes Page 1 of 3 May 29, 2012 feet of the rear property line, located in the Single Family Residential (R1) zoning district. RECOMMENDATION: Confirm the Zoning Administrator action: 1. Approving Residential Relocation No. 2012-01 as conditioned. 2. Approving Minor Exception No. 2012-01 as conditioned. WORK STUDY SESSION D. QUICK -HITS PLANNING PROJECT UPDATES Planning Manager Haluza and staff provided updates on the following major projects. • Circulation Element • Harbor Corridor Study • ABC Regulations • Saddleback Inn • Town and Country Project. • Lyon Apartments at Main and MacArthur • Bristol Remnant Re -Zones • One Broadway Plaza • Discovery Science Center Expansion • Housing Element Update • Senate Bill 2/Emergency Housing Implementation • Planning Division Staffing ' Commission praised the Planning staff's efforts. Chairman Alderete noted that future Planning Commission action on the CIP budget should be evaluated in light of the upcoming revisions to the Circulation Element and that the Commission should have a more active role in ensuring that future capital improvement projects are consistent with the General Plan. 1. EXCUSE OF ABSENCES Commissioner Gartner moved to excuse the absences of Commissioners Mill and Yrarrazaval. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Acosta and unanimously approved by the Commission with a vote of 5:0.
