' conditional use permit for a Type 20 Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) license for the
sale of beer and wine at the 7 -Eleven at 1441 West MacArthur Boulevard located
within the General Commercial (C2) zoning district.
RECOMMENDATION:

07.

1. CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 2012-08
Filed by Barry Hammond, representing the 7 -Eleven convenience store, to allow a
conditional use permit for the 24-hour operation at the 7 -Eleven at 1441 West
MacArthur Boulevard located within the General Commercial (C2) zoning district.

Planning Intern Ali Pezeshkpour presented the staff report and recommendation.
Chairman Alderete opened the Public Hearing at 5:38 p.m.
Barry Hammond, representing 7-Eleven/Land lease, spoke in support of
recommendation.
The hearing was closed.

3. STAFF COMMENTS
Jay Trevino provided an update on the TAVA development and impact to the project
timeline due to the property's recent listing on the Santa Ana Register of Historic
Properties.
Karen Haluza announced the cancellation of the next two meetings on June 25 and
July 9 due to lack of items.

4. PLANNING COMMISSION MEMBER COMMENTS
Commissioner Yrarrazaval informed the Commission that he will be absent from the
July 23 meeting as he will be attending a conference in Washington, DC.
5. EXCUSE OF ABSENCES
Motion by Commissioner Yrarrazaval and seconded by Commissioner Acosta to
' excuse the absence of Vice Chair Gartner and Commissioner Turner and approved
unanimously by a vote of 5:0.
