RECOMMENDED ACTION
Direct the Clerk of the Council to post a Notice of Cancellation for the regularly scheduled
City Council meeting scheduled for August 19, 2013 and that the City Council hereby
waives notice of said meetings as required by the Government Code.
DISCUSSION
The Government Code requires that each Councilmember be given notice of the date and
time of a meeting unless expressly waived. In the past, the second meeting of August has
been cancelled in recognition of the busy summer season. If the subject action is
approved, the Council will resume consideration of regular Council items at their regular
scheduled meeting to be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 in the Council Chamber, 22
Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no fiscal impact associated with this item.
