Set Public Hearing For CONTINUED TO FILE NUMBER Renew the contracts for electrical services for a one-year period in an aggregate amount of $200,000, subject to non-substantive changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney, with the following vendors: Vendor Location A.J. Kirkwood & Associates, Inc. Tustin Williams & Maher, Inc. Santa Ana The City maintains in excess of 30 buildings including City Hall, Corporate Yard, Regional Transportation Center, Police Administration and Holding Facility, recreation and senior centers, libraries, and park facilities. Electrical services are required at times by all City departments for the purpose of rewiring, installing electrical outlets and general electrical maintenance. In addition, electrical emergencies may arise requiring immediate response to maintain safety or vital operations running. The contracts for electrical service provide for both maintenance and emergency services for all City departments. On October 15, 2012, the City awarded contracts to A.J. Kirkwood & Associates, Inc. and Williams & Maher, Inc., a Santa Ana vendor, for a one-year period with provisions for three, one-year renewals. A.J. Kirkwood & Associates, Inc. has agreed to renew the contract without an increase in pricing; however, Williams & Maher, Inc. has requested an average of five percent increase.
