Direct the Agency General Counsel to prepare and authorize the Executive
Director to execute an amendment to the agreement with Converse
Consultants for environmental site assessment services for an additional
amount of $50,000, and a total contract amount not to exceed $175,000.
The Community Redevelopment Agency originally approved a contract with
Converse Consultants on November 18, 2002, for environmental site
assessment services for the Santa Ana Auto Mall. On April 21, 2003, the
Agency approved an amendment to the contract to expand the area of study.
There is now a need to increase the contract amount to conduct
environmental site assessment work for additional properties under
evaluation for future housing and commercial development.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the proposed
request is not considered a project; therefore, no further action is
required.

FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are available in the South Main Redevelopment Project account
(account no. 552- 936 -6291, project no. 9257) and the Housing Set -Aside
account (account no. 504 - 508 - 6291).
