Direct the Agency General Counsel to prepare and authorize the Executive
Director to execute an amendment to the agreement with Overland, Pacific
and Cutler, Inc. for $50,000 for a total amount not to exceed $150,000
COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AND HOUSING COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION
Recommended that the Community Redevelopment Agency direct the Agency
General Counsel to prepare and authorize the Executive Director to
execute an amendment to the agreement with Overland, Pacific and Cutler,
Inc. for $50,000 for a total amount not to exceed $150,000.
By a vote of 7:0 at its Regular Meeting of January 4, 2005.
DISCUSSION
The Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of Santa Ana acquires
property for the purpose of furthering its goals of fostering commercial
development and affordable housing. To that end, staff requires the
assistance of a professional firm that is knowledgeable and experienced
in both commercial and residential real estate activities as conducted by
public agencies. Overland, Pacific and Cutler, Inc. (OPC) is a real
estate services organization with eleven offices throughout the country.
Its managing principal partners have more than 200 years of real estate
consulting experience. It provides public agencies with a wide range of
real estate services that include appraisals, property acquisition,
commercial and residential relocation, and expert witness testimony.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the proposed
request is not considered a project; therefore, no further action is
required.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds for this agreement are available in the Housing Set -Aside Tax
Increment account (account no. 504- 508 - 6291/62177) and the South Main
Redevelopment Project account (account no. 550 - 936- 6291).
