> Subject: Representation at City Council
> Councilwoman Amezcua and office of the City Manager, et al,
> I have been informed that the real estate lawyer Bruce Bauer who has spearheaded the campaign to place a bicycle
trail in the Santiago Creek and has violated my private property and conspired with others in his organization to damage
my property as documented in emails taken from the City of Santa Ana computers as provided by the City Clerk, is being
considered to advance his position as City Council- appointed Parks Commissioner to City Council- appointed Planning
Commissioner.
> In a friendly and sincere conversation with me on my property on August 9, 2013 at 10 a.m., Councilwoman Amezcua
was unable to say that Mr. Bauer was forthright with her or others in his campaign tactics that threaten the private
property of my neighbors and myself for his own special interests. Mr. Bauer has deceptively and erroneously promoted
photographs of my private property on the internet, as you Know and as I have pointed out, that describe my land and
Liles:
that'of others as public land. When asked during that same conversation of August 9, Councilwoman Amezcua
acknowledged an understanding of how painful her appointment of Mr. Bauer was for those in the neighborhood who
feel abused by him and his organization.
> Neighbors have reported that Mr. Bauer has threatened them and their ownership of private property directly in face
to face brags that he will use the systems of the City of Santa Ana to create a land seizure. He is a lawyer who specializes
in real estate transactions and many of those on his committee are members of the construction industry who may reap
contracts to complete the work Mr. Bauer is promoting be done on the private property of citizens.
> I am instructing you as my representative on the City Council and the City Managers office as trustee for the ethical
and legal operations of the municipality to inform the council you have received letters protesting this appointment and
to not promote or vote to place Mr. Bauer in any office of the City of Santa Ana or its agencies.
> Mr. Bauers actions and deceptive practices may be able to addressed as City of Santa Ana - liable matters if Mr. Bauer is
appointed as a Planning Commissioner and open the City of Santa Ana to possible legal suits. You cannot appoint a man
whom the Councilwoman could not look me straight in the face and say had been honest. You represent the citizens,
not the ambitions of Mr. Bauer, despite the Councilwoman's personal friendship with him which was identified to me in
our conversations.
> I am requesting this email be presented to the City Manager as well as the City Council prior to any nomination
confirmation or vote. Inform the council of the sentiments of your constituents.
> Sincerely,
> Paul Apodaca, Ph.D.
