HomeMy WebLinkAbout08/31/2011 (3)ZONING ADMINISTRATOR HEARING • MINUTES AUGUST 31, 2011 CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 2011 -18 10:53 a.m. Mr. Sergio Klotz, Zoning Administrator, called to order the public hearing in the City Hall Ross Annex Conference Room 2001. Also in attendance were: Joel Soto and Javier Soto, Applicants; Ali Pezeshkpour, Planning Intern; Verny Carvajal, Senior Planner; Mike McCoy, Police Department; Ryan Hodge, City Attorney; and Jocelyn Magalona, Recording Secretary. Verny Carvajal presented the staff report and recommendation for approval with conditions. Verny Carvajal interpreted in Spanish for the applicants. There were no written cornmunications. Mike McCoy stated Police Condition 1 must be complied with. Mr. Klotz stated his • concern with the condition of the parking area and amended Police Condition 1 to indicate that it must be complied with within 30 days of Planning Commission approval. Verny Carvajal indicated that staff would re- inspect the site to ensure compliance. Discussion was held regarding the business hours and its potential impact on the neighborhood. Planning Condition 7 was added to establish limited business hours. Planning Condition 8 was also added to ensure the applicant's business license is updated to include a check cashing use. Joel Soto stated their agreement to all of the conditions. The Zoning Administrator adopted a resolution approving Conditional Use Permit No. 2011 -18 with amended conditions.
