CONSENT CALENDAR
All matters listed under the Consent Calendar are considered to be routine by
the Planning Commission and will be enacted by one motion without discussion.
Persons wishing to speak regarding a Consent Calendar matter should file a
“Request to Speak” form with the Commission Secretary. (See Agenda

A. MINUTES
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve the minutes of the regular meeting of September 25, 2006.
B. RECORDING SECRETARY REPORT
Pursuant to the Brown Act, the September 25, 2006 Agenda for the Regular
Meeting was posted on the door of the City Hall Council Chambers at 22 Civic
Center Plaza on September 22, 2006 at 4:28 p.m.
Pursuant to the Brown Act, the October 9, 2006 Cancellation Notice for the
Regular Meeting was posted on the door of the City Hall Council Chamber s at 22
Civic Center Plaza on October 4, 2006 at 3:28 p.m.
RECOMMENDATION:
Instruct the Commission Secretary to enter posting into the minutes.
C. CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 2006-10 (Ann Ni)
Filed by Dragon King Restaurant to allow a Type 41 ABC license in conjunction
with an existing restaurant in the Community Commercial (C1) zoning district for
the property located at 1830 West Seventeenth Street.

RECOMMENDATION:
Confirm the Zoning Administrator’s action approving Conditional Use Permit No.
2006-10 as conditioned.
D. CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 2006-15 (Vince Fregoso)
Filed by Luis R. Gonzalez, to allow a Type 47 Alcoholic B everage Control license
at the Flamingo Night Club at 2323 West First Street in the Light Industrial (M1)
zoning district.
RECOMMENDATION:
Confirm the Zoning Administrator’s action approving Conditional Use Permit No.
2006-15 as conditioned.

F. SITE PLAN REVIEW NO. 2006-06 AND SITE PLAN REVIEW NO 2006-09

Filed by Caribou Industries, to review the parking structure and plaza design for
the One Broadway Plaza development in the Specific Development No. 75 (SD -
75) zoning district located at 1109 North Broadway.
RECOMMENDATION:
1. Adopt a resolution approving Site Plan Review No. 2006-06 for the One
Broadway Plaza parking structure as conditioned.
2. Adopt a resolution approving Site Plan Review No. 2006-09 for the plaza
design of the One Broadway Plaza project as conditioned.

complicated issues prior to making a decision(s).

1. AMENDMENT TO CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 1990-01

Filed by Luis R. Gonzalez to modify an existing condition of approval and extend
the hours for alcohol sales at El Flamingo Restaurant at 2323 West First Street in
the Light Industrial (M1) zoning district.

RECOMMENDATION:
